O Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God,
and our own most gentle Queen and Mother,
look down in mercy upon England,
thy Dowry, and upon us all who greatly
hope and trust in thee.
Through thee it was that Jesus our Saviour
and our Hope was given unto the world;
and he hath given thee to us that we
might hope still more.
Plead for us thy children, whom thou
didst receive and accept at the foot
of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother.
Intercede for our separated brethren,
that they may be united with
us in the one true Fold. Pray for us all,
dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good
works, we may all deserve to see and
praise God together with thee in our
heavenly home.
Amen.
As many of you are aware, our theme was to be "Behold Thy Mother" (John 19:27) to link in with the re-dedication of England to Our Blessed Lady this month and a lot of preparation had gone into producing a great programme with super speakers. The documents were printed, postage stamps bought and we were ready to go, when HOPE made the decision not to go ahead.
We are enormously disappointed as we know you will be too, but we have to conform to governmental instructions and those of Public Health England in the light of the Corona-virus outbreak, to ensure that we are all kept safe and to do all we can to prevent it spreading further.
We will miss you but ask for your prayers that we can recover from the consequences of this virus and if it be God's Holy Will, we can resume preparations, but for 2021.
Please keep yourselves safe and heed all safety measures which are being put in place. In the meantime, we will pray for each other and please God meet again next June when we will come together revived and renewed and be a force for good in our world.
With the love and blessings of the team
